Sitting Pretty with Duets

The chair is one of the most important parts of the workstation. While in the office, we spend as much as one third of our working lives sitting. If improperly done, this can often result to stress and eventually will result to back, neck and even spine injuries. And it has been estimated that as much as 80% of the working class’s population will experience back pains and aches in some parts of their lives. Therefore, a properly designed as well as a properly adjusted chair, along with appropriate posture, is important to help reduce or even eradicate these discomforts and injuries that are brought by improper sitting. You may not always realize that your discomfort could be a result of inappropriate posture, and may constantly try to adjust their sitting position to remain comfortable.

Grahl started out by manufacturing high quality, multi-functional furniture for home use. Having much success in their trade, the company would then spearhead its way in to creating office furniture. Designing chairs that met specific research-based ergonomic principles. After a few decades, Grahl has emerged as one of the top manufacturers of ergonomically designed office chairs. Its office seating collection includes a new category of innovations that has been given high regard by its critics. Integrating top German engineering with chic European designs, Grahl was successfully in creating a chair that is known for its unique combination of style and comfort.

The Duet collection is among the new entries in Grahl’s product line. It consists of three types of chairs namely: the Duet Mid-Back, the Duet High-Back and the Duet Duo-Back. The backrest is basically what sets one chair from the other, except for the Duet Duo-Back, which has a few extra features in place.

The Duet Duo-Back’s patented back design allows the chair to wrap around the back with width and height adjustable pads. Its unique features allow more flexibility, giving an optimum fit to the back of the body. The Duet’s features give a better support to the body, conforming to its structure for a better posture. Allowing the body more freedom to move from side to side and for body to be supported at more angles and inclinations. It gives optimum support to the spine, allowing the spinal column to move freely.

Unlike the Duet Mid-Back and the Duet High-Back, the Duo-Back’s arm height and width is adjustable. This reduces the work of the shoulders and keeps the elbow at a right distance, avoiding the shoulder’s to be elevated too high. Width adjustability changes the distance between armrests. Armrests that are close to the body can help avoid splayed elbows, which in turn cause the wrists to bend to the side during activity.

The Duet Mid-Back and Duet High-Back’s wood is available in natural and ebony finish. The upholstery is available in fabric and leather. Other features can also be customized with no additional charge.

The Duet Collection has almost the same standard features. Its seat control is constructed of heavy gauge, reinforced steel, and houses the back angle, seat tilt, seat depth, and tilt tension control adjustments. You can adjust the chair’s height with a pneumatic height adjustment. The seat depth can be adjusted for smaller and taller individuals by locking set pan as you tilt it in a comfortable angle. All adjustments may be achieved from a seated position. Each model comes with a 5 star base with 3 optional bases, including Triple-Y. Dual-wheel casters comes with built-in safety brakes.
